i only have tiny green ones left and the plant doesn't look too good. is it ok to uproot it now?

in the LA area, you might not get a freeze to stop a tomato plant....the tomatoes are now in a survival mode and will produce hard acid tasting fruit...it is best to remove plants as you suggested,,,if you are in the long breach area, you Will notice the stake tomatoes are being removed by the growers although, the plants could still grow..it is hothouse tomato time now.....
