I have tomato plants and would like to know if there is any type of organic fertilizer besides manure?

If anybody knows of a natural herbicide too, that would be great.

Compost, fish emulsion, bone meal and decomposed granite are all organic fertilizers. Manure should be of the composted variety.

Not sure what you mean by "natural herbicide" but if you want to kill weeds around your tomatoes, you would be better off using mulch to control the weeds.

Reply:Animal manure is the very best but well rotted compost works well too.I can't understand your reluctance to use manure! Herbicides, then you use a lot of mulch whitch helps tremendously.
Reply:Try SeaWeed. Jersey (in the Channel islands) have a big business collecting seaweed from the beaches to sell for organic fertiliser and mulch. It has worked on Tomatoes for me.
Reply:They benefit from bone meal, and fish emulsion. As for an organic spray, go with 9 parts of water and 1 part of Murphy's Oil.

Murphy's is a vegetable based soap, harmless and it covers the bugs's skin. They breathe through it, so the soap suffocates them. It is great for aphids!
Reply:Gardensalive.com has a bunch of stuff. I've used their products and agree with the many testimonials in their catalog. Internet coupons are pretty easy to come by for them on the coupon code search sites too.

It's a good choice if you don't want to mix up you own stuff.
Reply:i think animal manure is the best natural herbicide .so u can try this
